Currently, SNAP Retailers are required to stock three varieties of food in each of the four categories: dairy, protein, grains, and fruits and vegetables.
The Proposed Rule will:
Increase variety requirements to seven per staple food category, more than doubling the food choices available to SNAP participants.
Close loopholes that allow certain snack foods to count as staple foods, emphasizing the importance of healthy, whole food.
Simplify how foods are classified, making standards easier for retailers to understand and FNS to enforce.
Prepare the correct documentation, including: Ownership details, Identification, Business Licenses, and more
SuperSonic POS will use your SNAP permit and FNS number to integrate EBT processing!
